The Locomotive is the steam engine that propels the Train.
Function[]
The Locomotive must be present to bring the Czechoslovak Legion's soldiers home.
In order to move forward, it must be kept on track by the Driver (an Engineer) and it must be stoked Fuel by a Stoker (a Worker). The absence of either personnel will cause the Train to stop immediately.
The Locomotive's top speed determines its base acceleration and deceleration rate. The Driver's work efficiency adds his own multiplier to it, while the Stoker's affects the chance that fuel is spared during a stoking round.
Unlike other cars, the Locomotive always produces enough heat to shelter its operators from extremely cold Temperatures and therefore requires no insulation.
Generally, the Locomotive comes with high durability and its own storage compartment. It can quickly become full when laden with resources, and a Storage car is advised to attach to alleviate its burden. There are in three varieties, differing in carriage capacity, storage and top speed:
Maintenance[]
Like most other cars, the Locomotive is susceptible to breakdowns on lower durability. Soldiers with the Reckless trait are also more prone to workplace accidents, which can be mitigated by Security Precautions.
Fuel must always be present in order to propel the steam locomotive. If Fuel is not available, Wood, Cloth and Herbs can be dismantled into some more.
