
The Hunting Grounds is a type of Point of Interest.
Overview[]
Hunting grounds are large swathes of clearings where elks, deer and other animals naturally wander. While vegetation is little here, they make a source of food.
A squad sent to hunt must spend some Stamina to exhaust the place. This action is executed immediately and resources gained are placed in the Train's inventory.
Possible Outcomes[]
On its own, the Hunting Ground may either reward some food[1] or none at all.
Positive[]
- Squad finds a hare[2], small food gain.
- A squad member with the Hunter trait may find:
- Additional food.[3]
- Caught an elk: awards additional food.
- Hare burrow: awards additional food.
- A squad member with the Survivalist trait may find:
- If the squad only finds a hare, the burrow if found.[4]
- A squad member with Herbalist trait may find:
- Medicinal mushrooms: awards herbs.
Negative[]
- A random squad may slip on the ice[5] and suffer minor health loss.
- A random squad member may slip and fall on the ice, inflicting health loss and the Shaken status.
